Im planning to leave Brooklyn for Queeens then to ATL because the real estate market is saturated. I went to a REIA meeting in Manhattan a month ago and alot of the people there were black so me and my lil bro were . There were some cacs but majority were black. Anyway very few of them owned property in the tri state area. Alot of them owned property in ATL, Dallas,Houston, FL, Memphis,SC and NC,Georgia, VA. They said the property is cheap down there and its a gold mine in the south. My cousin owns a property in Virginia and is eating well. He was in the navy. We need get into the real estate game in the south. The long term benefits would be great for our people.
The key is not buying into the BIGGER IS BETTER mindset.
You don't need to be in no dame gated community, paying a home owners association fee (which never ends and if you piss off the association they can MAKE you sell your house).
Get a house that is WELL within the means to afford it and then rent it out. But beware, shady agents STAY trying to push you to more costly homes becasue the bigger the price tag the more THEY can eat, whether you can afford it or not.
Word. I see Asians here in Brooklyn buying up duplexes and renting them out. Plus there is so many ways to make money in real estate. Wholesaling, tax liens, flipping property, renting out property and many many more. That is how white folks get in the game. We have enough people making enough to buy up property across the south and dominant it. The fukked up thing is we dont teach each other shyt. When one makes it he is good and doesnt go back and teach the next generation this.
