Okay, so after reading a short article, I'm still kind of surprised that they were actually arrested :manny:

I feel like I've seen these clowns pull up and demonstrate at events before and nothing has happened to them. If anything, actual civilians are the ones that chase and scare them away - not law enforcement. Don't counter-protests happen all the time? And these guys didn't have like guns, rocks, bricks, molotov cocktails etc so it's just weird how they were arrested this time is all.

Am I missing something here? Or is it indeed out of the ordinary for a group like this to get arrested - even before getting out of a van to counter-protest? @Rhakim @choc_cardigan
I think what you are missing is you could have saved time and energy and not read anything and then not post in this thread. But for some reason you did anyway.

If you aren't able to answer my question, why bother responding? :comeon:

There's a fine line and they stepped across it. Often these type of groups step over the line and nothing is done, but in this case they just happened to get caught in the act at the perfect time.

You can protest, and you can defend yourself if someone starts a fight with you at a protest, but if you go to a protest with the intention of starting a fight then you can be in trouble. If you go the protest in a group and you all agreed together to start fights, then it's conspiracy to riot. The trick is just proving that you had intended to start fights and didn't just bring arms "in self-defense".

That's why antifa always hides their faces and hides their planning/organization - they don't wanna be hemmed up on conspiracy charges.

In this case, you have 30 guys hiding in the U-Haul. So it's not like a public protest, they're obviously plotting. They had shins, shield guards, riot gear, which is not believable attire for a Gay Pride Parade, it's not like this is an already-violent protest situation they're stepping into like when these groups start shyt in Portland where shyt is already going down. In this case they're clearly the ones who are going to create the violence. But the main shyt that really got them in trouble is the smoke grenade and the written down operational plans showing what they were plotting. If they hadn't had the grenade, and hadn't gotten caught with the written plans, maybe they would have been let off with a warning. But I think the plans and grenade is what put in over the edge.

Of course, just cause they could get the charges doesn't mean they always will.

U-Haul's slogan is “Moving Made Easier” but it’s turning into “Hate on the Move.”

Hey @UHaul.com — you better figure out how to stop renting trucks to Patriot Front, or you’re going to be known as the official moving van of white supremacists.

All you need is two keyed or combo padlocks on the back door should keep them all safe that way

I bet their standard contract says you can't transport people in the back of a box truck. It's not safe.

People from “the whole country” - hiding illegally in the back of a U-Haul truck.

Thank you to those standing up to them!

bsky.app/profile/uhau... are you proud of this???? This is absolutely disgusting 🤮

Where are the cops pulling this truck over??? WHERE?

Hiding their faces because they know they’re wrong.

Hiding their faces like they do on X.

Hiding their faces so their parole officers can’t identify them.

Hiding their faces so their employers don’t fire them.

Hiding their faces because they’re pussies.

I think not so much Hiding their faces so their parole officers can’t identify them.

I think it’s so their bosses can’t identify them- these guys THINK a they’ve been cheated but can afford whatever that get up is and the flags and the time off work
These are privileged white dudes

I worked for UHaul briefly, a couple decades ago, close enough to the C-Suite to say with certainty, "They're all-in on Christian nationalism. Big fascist cheerleaders."

Transporting people in the back of a box truck is illegal as hell. Video the license plate and U-haul serial # prominently displayed on these trucks and send the video to U-Haul, law enforcement, and the media. The person who rented the truck will lose their deposit (and possibly get fined).

21/35
🆔 dave876.bsky.social
You think cops are going to arrest their coworkers?

22/35
🆔 rhyzome-1.bsky.social
Not likely, but that’s beside the point. You document with LE so that when inevitably some of these nazi fools get injured the insurance companies and DAs can go after the driver for civil and criminal negligence.

How is transporting people in the back of a moving truck legal. No seatbelts. Etc etc. Cops should enforce this too.

Oh, wait. Most of them are riding inside, aren't they?

26/35
🆔 amstermom.bsky.social
Probably something in the rental contract says they can't transport people in the back. So maybe U-Haul should ban them across the board for repeatedly violating the terms of the contract.

We can keep discussing these societal issues year after year, but nothing is likely to change. Instead, it’s up to you to take proactive steps to protect yourself and your family and live with the reassurance that you can protect your life if the threat arises—plain and simple.

32/35
🆔 chrisjustice01.bsky.social
Seems like it would be illegal to transport large groups of people traveling in the back of a UHaul. It's not safe on the road, and likely not legal at all.

33/35
🆔 gmarie55.bsky.social
I read where that is part of their policy/contract.. they are not allowed to transport people in the back of those cargo vans.

34/35
🆔 ray301.bsky.social
It’s definitely not a good look for U-Haul. That said, since when are moving trucks certified for human transport? No seat belts, no lights, no airflow sounds less like a ride and more like a rolling violation of every vehicle safety code on the books.

Couldn't they retroactively enforce punishment? Add verbiage to their agreement which states "if the truck is found to be used for transportation of human beings the driver will be subject to a $50,000 fee".

│ This I'm ok with. All you need is the plate number and send the video to u haul. I'm sure they would love some free money. The picture on this post should be enough to earn whoever rented this with enough violations for u haul to make some serious cash. Looks like 15-20 guys in each truck. That's a half million in fines. Makes it worth the lawyers going after him too.
