Was facing school punishment, was convicted on a misdemeanor weapons charge last year, dad said he was already acting paranoid, others said he had been making threats.

Deeper dives on this won't look good. :francis:

Just as expected, dude became mentally unstable. Mental illness doesn't develop or display symptoms in some people at birth. I know several people who have gone off the deep end mentally after they were 18 and over.

from that same article:

The 22-year-old University of Virginia student suspected of killing three football players and wounding two other people was facing school disciplinary action after UVA officials learned he failed to disclose his conviction last year on a misdemeanor concealed weapons charge, a school spokesperson says.

But during the investigation, UVA learned Jones was convicted in 2021 of a misdemeanor concealed weapons violation and received a 12-month suspended sentence and a small fine, Coy’s statement said.

Jones didn’t report the case to university officials as required, Longo said Monday.

UVA officials sought more information about both the claim that Jones had a gun and his misdemeanor conviction, the statement said, but Jones “repeatedly refused to cooperate.” On October 27, the UVA threat assessment team “escalated his case for disciplinary action,” the statement said

Damn usually when you hear about campus shootings that don’t involve anti social cacs it’s usually hood bums jealous of college kids at the party. Like dude mad hos flicking toward collegiate athletes. But a former player? fukking crazy. Wonder what the backstory of this was

I'm not victim blaming but it had to be because he was

Ahh come on lol

Y’all making it seem like he got in trouble for doing sum shyt in school, they was on him for not reporting a misdemeanor he caught for that gun

I'm not sure why that makes a difference. The disciplinary action is from the school, and is separate from whatever sentence he got from his conviction

Yup. It kicked in with my homie in his 20s and I remember this one dude in college I could see it kicking in. He would be hearing shyt and confront people for no reason. I didn't get it at the time. People really take the mind for granted. Everyone just focuses on physical attributes

The star QB from my HS football was like this. Super smart, great athlete and just a good dude with a bright future. In 2022, he lives with his mother and can't be left unsupervised long. He became schizophrenic and is totally spaced out. shyt seemed like it happened overnight too.
