Bivol was overall impressive. I was worried that he wouldn't be able to stand his ground, get in on Smith's chest and push Smith Jr back consistently which is part of how Barrera beat Smith but he adjusted in the mid rounds and started throwing that lead left hook and spending less time doing unnecessary movement. You can't run from Smith and you don't need to, dude clearly doesn't know what to do when someone is backing him up, landing and not running. However Bivol did make that rookie mistake that i was talking about earlier in the thread at the end of round 10. If he had got caught with that punch even 30 seconds earlier i believe he would have lost by KO.
Smith just doesn't have the skills to deliver that monster power he has. Needs to shop around for a new fight corner that he has good chemistry with and show him something new.
