Bingo. I've often said boxing media and discourse is the worst of any sport. There's barely any real journalism or analysis and most people's "knowledge" or talking points come from these social media personalities. The worst media options of other sports are the standard for boxing. It's fukking nauseating.

It really is at times. It's like all the worst parts of NBA coverage (the obsession with championships over everything, constant trade/contract/"front office" talk, and fixation on social media fukkery), with almost no focus on actual fights, or the reality of situations to balance it out.

Meanwhile, we're quietly going through an absolutely GREAT time for boxing. They might not be the absolute biggest names fighting each other on demand, but big fights ARE getting made. Cards that normally would've been buried on regional TV somewhere are more available than they've ever been. If brehs want to complain now, it's going to be crazy seeing how they react when the money inevitability gets tight.

@patscorpio we really need a “business of boxing” thread of something similar these clowns shyt up so many threads and discussions with their pbc al haymon side of the street jajajaja bullshyt.

Literally like 5-6 pages of it in this thread. No one talking about how the card had great fades. Just stupid hypothetical fanboying over promoters. shyt is embarassing
A lot of it are some the Spence Stans coming back now that he's not hiding like he was in witness protection :heh:

These are some of the worst fans of any boxer lol

I legit do not talk about who gets what and contracts and stuff because I'm not in those negotiations.

I only talk about what I know and that's fighting. I will never understand a fan's fascination with fighter popularity and what makes sense business-wise. As soon as cats get to talking about that, I try to change it back to boxing and why something makes sense to me the fight fan.

I have no idea what you're talking about

Why did Boots not accept Terence Crawford's offer to fight him on December 2022 ?
Why did Boots go from being a WBO mandatory (Which Crawford had the belts) to run to be an IBF mandatory instead?

Bonus question. Since you brought up the topic of running... Why is Spence running from a rematch with Crawford?

I'm waiting
