Sorry, but Keith Thurman only has himself to blame

I remember a year ago he did an interview with Fighthype or Fighthub and said "I'm not just going to comeback for just any fight" and also said "For a fighter of my caliber, I can't take a step backwards and not be fighting on main events". Over played his hand. He should have been taking fights to get his rhythm back, to get his body used to Boxing again. No doubt his injury is his body not being able to take the ramp up in training camp

1 fight in 4 years is terrible. Keith's body retired for him

It's like his body said "Nah nikka. We don't do this no mo' :whoa:"

Just betrayed him.

It amazes me that these guys don't see the value in taking less money to book a few hometown fights against some bums to get the rhythm back and gain some momentum.

It's either all or nothing. Their mentality is that I need _____ amount to even step in the ring. They're way too caught up in the business and forget this is a craft.

real talk though I knew Thurman was gonna pull out. he has bad arms/shoulder issues. there is a reason why he is not an active fighter and tbh....when you start having a lot of injuries like that its possibly some roid usage. he should look at hanging them up.

Ay cuh... :dame:

Seriously, @patscorpio and somebody else said it earlier: A lot of these fighters could benefit from staying active. Femi got it right how he did it last year.

Other fighters should look at that and think about doing it.

not just Joshua but Joseph Parker...Parker suffered a KO that would signal the end of his days as a contender..but he came back with tune ups and scored back to back upsets in his last 2 fights
