I'd lower all those scores by AT LEAST a star, except for Ishii/Tanahashi vs Suzuki/ZSJ, which seems pretty accurately pegged at 4 stars. I read that Meltzer and Alvarez discussed that if you have to think about if a match is 5 stars, then it isn't 5 stars, and they had to think about GL vs YB, therefore it wasn't 5 stars....then gave it 5 stars anyway

Lol I'd love to read a transcript of him hemming and hawing over how he isn't biased towards NJPW despite showing up on their streaming service doing coverage for them directly.

Well, you know, 5 stars is not 5 stars anymore. I mean, you know, 5 stars is still 5 stars in the sense that it's still an amazing match that's up there with the best of them. But you know what I mean? After Omega and Okada had that 6 stars match, the bar has been set up high, so a 5 stars match is still incredible but it's not an all time match. I mean, I went back and changed the rating for other matches and gave it 6 stars. I mean, it's not that difficult, I've explained it before.
White vs Page getting 3.75 is as funny as that time a couple of years ago when he gave an Orton match that was a snore fest 4 stars just because he loves Randy
