Glad to see you guys enjoyed WrestleMania IV, I think this was the very first PPV we ordered from home, I watched WM3 and Survivor Series '87 on closed circuit. The only bad thing about these one-night tourney's is that you get a lot of quick matches with some lame finishes to protect guys from taking pin-fall losses. And the crowd was kinda lame because of lot of the people in attendance weren't necessarily wrestling fans, they were high-roller casino patrons and hotel guests who got comp tickets.

And remember, while this show was airing live on PPV, the NWA was airing the first ever Clash of the Champions for free on TBS featuring a classic Midnight Express vs. Fantastics tag match and the famous Ric Flair vs. Sting broadway that made Sting a superstar.

i never dove too much into late 80s WWF but i'm liking what i'm seeing

might have to go peep some late 80s Summerslams during this quarantine

The Honkey Tonk man having that long IC reign..expected to fight Brutus the Barber Beefcake but that got canceled after the Outlaw Ron Bass gave him his own version of Jake's cobra bite madness on Superstars...so Honkey had to issue a open challenge and the result set the crowd on fire. Probably the most memorable spot of the first Summerslam in 88.

We did 5 last week.... we can do WM6 and start it at 10eastern (immediately following AEW tonight) if you want to make the thread and tag everyone.

No one should really have an issue with it being a later than usual start time considering what’s going on right now.
