Having Kofi win tonight (without throwing in Bryan at the last minute) and build up to his eventual Wrestlemania win.And what is that?

This is all so fukking stupid. The gauntlet underdog story worked with DB (even though I don’t give a fukk about him because I find him boring) because he was white and you knew there would be a payoff.
They’re using this particular angle to have kofi maybe Maybe MAYBE win at mania and then Cokeboy is going to come out on Tuesday and say the win is wiped out and they’ll have an automatic rematch that night with DB where he’ll win it back.
I say this as a white guy who hates this MAGA company and only read recaps during mania season and don’t watch ever in hopes it will change.
I would bet my fukking life on it. fukk this company.

They've said for years that their only goal after becoming longest-reigning tag champs was to see Kofi win a world title.

I don't think Cokeboy remembers that he has to give the fans SOMETHING before they just tune out of a feud completely. Also, let's be real. Kofi probably won't be champion past SummerSlam either. So they're just being really extra with this feud now.
Anyway, at least @DaylitoJames birthed the knock off candy/brand sponsorship for AEW in this thread
Yea I was just thinking that, I’m like they are dragging this like they plan on making him champ for the next 3 years.
Maybe Vince sees this as a easy way to keep fans invested until mania. Idk. I think the iron was the hottest at elimination chamber to be honest. Just like I thought Bryan was the hottest months before mania in 2014.
It will still be good to see him win
