I was dead ass wrong. I thought the Garcia camp would have a plan to keep Errol moving. Mikey, for whatever reason, didn't do any of that shyt. Hats off to Errol, it was a clinic. 11-1 on my scorecard

Yeah I thought they were going to come with a different game plan which would've been the only reason to jump up two weight classes to take this fight.

garcia has a weakness to slick fighters, whereas aggressive fighters play perfectly into his counter punching style. the adjustment to try to outslick garcia, was real smart because instead of being at a style mismatch to garcia, garcia met his style mismatch in spence. it was a perfect adjustment.

Yup, you could tell all the lil slick shyt Spence was doing to stay outta reach when Mikey was trying to be aggressive early was discouraging him. Spence would just slide back a foot or two and Garcia would miss and get countered.

Mikey too calculated to say fukk it and just go hard balls to the walls so it was the perfect way to tame him and make him 2nd guess his offense which is his greatest strength.

nikka was posting gifs of Garcia boxing circles around an unskilled runt in Zlaticanin like that shyt had any relevance to this fight and had these goofs dapping up that nonsense. When being a boxing hipster goes wrong.

I actually like dude as a poster, but if a mofo can't tell Spence has legit talent (even before tonight), I really question their ability to discern boxing talent/skills. Posting the three right hands that Kell Brook landed in gifs ad naseum like he ain't get his facial broke up.

Him and a few others fronting like dude is a lumbering and unskilled Nikolai Valuev or some shyt . There's no way in hell Spence could land the assortment of shots he does on dudes without having some skills. Additionally, no fighter does everything technically "right" all the time: even the great Ali pulled straight back, Roy didn't fight off the jab, etc. It's the marriage of several things that determines how strong a fighter is (skills, temperament, physical advantages and disadvantages, anticipation, mental dexterity, resiliency, etc). It's not just "one" thing. It's several, and a couple of them act like it's just this or that.

I'm not even mad at them, though. They gotta take this L for tonight, though.

yup. spence always kept him out on the end of his punches instead of just trying to force his way in. garcia could only lunge into empty space when spence hit his little step backs. i dont think garcia ever expected spence would have forced him to come to him. i think he was really depending on spence working to get close to him not the other way around. that is what really turned the fight upside down is when he realized now i have to get to him he is not going to come to me. i dont know if garcia could have ever bullied spence in the event he would be forced to. it didnt help with how slugglish he was looking if he had to actually be able to fight that kind of a fight to win.

i think spence still has limitations. i dont think they went away because he beats mikey garcia. thats a little caught in the moment. spence outboxed mikey garcia instead of knocking him out, but thats not the same thing as outboxing guys who can get to and pressure him better than garcia could, or trying to walk down guys at the top level his size.
