You know how folks said, Spence is only sometimes since his level of competition increased? We just witnessed the same thing with Spence tonight. His competition increased, and it was with someone who should be fighting at either one or two at the most divisions lower than Spence. Thurman is NOT a small welterweight, and he can hit. Add in the combination of him being athletic and a good boxer-puncher, he's going to test Spence. Spence's bread and butter in previous fights was going to the body too, and he couldn't do that tonight. It's not cuz he wanted to prove the naysayers wrong either who said he couldn't box. No, he just couldn't pull that off on Mikey. I don't thin he can do that against Thurman either, and the Thurman will hit him back. Rest assured, Thurman will hit him.

With the build up he really felt a way his some of the legends and pundits basically calling him Another Margarito.
