Very cool. But I always had mixed feelings about that "if it don't apply let it fly" type thinking because I grew up operating like that and I got burnt VERY badly.
Some hoe ass nikka known to tell lies that I'm unfortunately related to was going around telling lies about a situation I was peripherally involved only by association because of HIM.
He was doing his usual pathological lying and my name kept coming up even though I was a only a WITNESS to the event in question. But I just ignored it because, hey I didn't actually do anything I just know what happened.
When it was all said and done, I was fighting to stay out of jail and the relationship with my immediate family is fractured beyond repair for the rest of my life and he went into hiding after lying to anyone who would listen (including the police).
All that being said, maybe I'm just triggered, but I don't think I would ever teach my child to ignore someone making up falsehoods about you because that shyt can balloon into something else before you know it.

I felt like she was teaching him to regulate his emotions to petty shyt, so he doesn't fall into a detrimental pattern. It's easy to do some regrettable shyt that can affect your life for good over some petty shyt.

yeah it's the slection process, most teachers have family members in the field that usher them into their position. it's damn near impossible for someone without the connection to get into a full time teaching position. theres thousands of academically qualified good and possibly great teachers out there that do not get a shot because of this. that and think about the fact that a mojority of teachers are white women...
