Or should I get a new computer with a higher CPU? :patrice:

I'm currently rolling with a HP Pavilion G6 Series, 500GB hard drive, 4GB of RAM.
I'm not privy on cpu music anymore but back in the day a decent processor, ram and a sound card were swore by.

I think most pc's come adequately stocked or maybe because I'm older I'm not going to buy an entry level pc....im kind of out of the loop

good fukking looking breh :ohhh:

im bout to study the shyt out of this stuff

what you need to do is hit up sols the one downtown of 16th street, the one off 72nd and maple, and the one off 120th n center. Theyve got gear and its cheap too. For less than $200 you can get you some hardware and fukk around wit it, plus they always have turntables and shyt....

You're gonna need at least 8gb of ram in order to significantly reduce latency. If I were you I would go ahead and cop a new computer that comes with an i5 or i7 processor to go along with the extra RAM. I don't know if you want a laptop or a desktop but as far as laptops go ASUS usually has solid setups for around $500-$600, but if you build your own PC you could possibly save a decent amount of money.

a quality Solid State drive is the single most effective way to speed your PC/Laptop up. hands down. even if you can't afford a lot of GBs, more your files to an external USB3, and use a small solid state as your C:

this is all assuming your CPU is decent. AMDs are super cheap and you can get an 8 core for nothing, then that solid state will change your life.

this is clutch breh

im still hoping i can just upgrade my processor tho. would that be cheaper than buying or building a new PC?

yeah you could but you would more than likely have to replace the motherboard too.
