The Rams won a Super Bowl with Stafford. Drafting a franchise QB isn’t the only way. Just seems like they’re burning through these QB picks excessively fast.

We tried our version of that with Tannehill. And we made the playoffs 2-3 times. Great. But then we peaked and fell off of a fuccin' cliff...

You would like us to repeat this as if it's feasible instead of possibly finding someone who can yield the same if not better production on a rookie contract instead of paying a bum like Sam Darnold 50 mil which inherently disallows you to build out your roster? Lol

The Rams had Aaron mf Donald mind you, let's start there. Then they decided to go into cap hell and go all in on spending on every other positions. So....they only needed one piece and could gamble like that with Stafford. We're not in that position...

No it's not the only way, but it's the SMART way in our current state of things. We already had the #1 pick before and tried to be "smart" and trade it a few years ago, and yeah we got Derrick Henry & Kevin Byard out of that draft but where are they now? The rest of the people we drafted not even on the team.

Stafford was damn near elite tho he just had a bunch of his career wasted for the worst org in sports at the time.

Darnold might get us 11 wins for a couple years but you can’t win anything serious with him. He has bad natural instincts when it comes down to it.

I was sold on the Darnold or Fields options until Trav said "we just tried that with Tannehill". And you're right 🤣...

The ceiling is low with those guys...

I don't know man, I just want the best player available. We desperately need a QB, and Callahan is over Levis, so options are limited if we don't take a QB. No one thinks this QB class has any true #1 talent, and yet this is the year we get the #1 pick 😂 🤣...

It's like we are burdened with taking a quarterback regardless of if they are the best player or not. If someone could sell me on, a solid plan at QB, I'm in favor of taking the absolute best player available, regardless of position. How many picks do we have this year?

Abdul Carter and Travis Hunter are the names I've heard most as the best players in this draft. I'd be okay drafting one of them after workouts/interviews if you are sold that they can help change the direction of the franchise...

Winning in this league us so hard. You need the right combo of ownership + GM + head coach + QB. When you have pieces missing you gotta be elite at the other spots to have a shot. I don't know about our ownership, they ran Vrabel away and despite his faults, he was a good coach...

This new GM, we'll see, hopefully he brings KC magic with him. No telling if Callahan is a good coach or not, and we don't have a QB...

We're 0/4 right now, so take the best player available...

This is the gig, man. You think we the only team in the NFL that keep tryna hit on QBs til we find one to give us 7-10 years??

GB with Favre, Rodgers and MAYBE Love (depending on how his career plays out) are outliers.

Brady/Patriots = outlier

Chiefs/Mahomes = outlier

Only 35% of first round QBs have become long term starters for teams since 2000 my guy, so the other 65% of us are stuck tryna make shyt shake.

There's no way to consistently predict QB success in this league and even when you do (Andrew Luck), we'll ask @Lootpack how that go.

Hit me up when Willis plays an entire season for someone, multiple even, and has success. Matt Flynn had a few good games then what happened in Seattle...

And again, Darnold bum ass? Had an outlier year then turned into the pumpkin we know he is and will prolly remain the rest of his career lol.

We built in the trenches somewhat last year on both sides, why wouldn't now try to find THE guy at the most important position?

Ben Johnson already told y'all...

Make sure your franchise QB doesn’t snowboard during his off-time and have a Stanford architectural degree to fall back on when the going gets tough in the NFL.

I low-key done talked my own damn self into picking a QB no matter what when I was previously willing to entertain a trade :dead:

But nah, fucc dat. I'm willing to go high risk. It's time for Cally (so called QB whisperer) + dude from Chiefs (GM) who supposedly played a small part in selecting Mahomes to prove their salt. We got a scout going out to Sr game to get a close look at Shedeur who supposedly is the prototype QB for a Callahan offense (short, intermediate accuracy + all the 2-high Def lately), you fired Ran as a scapegoat, so as :beli: would say, DO YOUR JOB.

But I'll be damn if I see Ward or somebody lighting it up next year as the shocking rookie on da CJ Stroud/Jayden Daniels tip and I be stuck watching Levis again or Sam fuccin' Darnold implode without Jefferson/Addison to save his ass.

Now, if they do ALL of the scouting and film watching until their eyes are bloodshot, interviews, look at whatever tests, and they still don't see a mf thing? Cool. But if you get even a whiff of...."eh, he could be a guy in a 3 years", grab that mf NOW.
