His Johto team is still better then his Alola team. His alola team is absolutely horrible. Which is why his win is even more of a slap in the face after the kalos let down. They let ash win the easiest league with his most underpowered team and giving him 2 fluke wins to even get to semi finals.

I know people are happy he won but for the people who actually follow the anime this is very disrespectful. Ash won a pokemon league with a damn ROWLET but he didn't win with his Kalos team which was outright ridiculous??

Krookadile and Pikachu had to HARD carry that season. Team was so bad, the writers gave him Charizard back at the end of the season cause the audience hated his team.

Overall, it's gotta be Sinnoh > Kalos > Kanto/Orange League > Hoenn > Alola > Johto >>>>>>>>>> Unova

If we don't count the Pokemon he caught in the Orange League with Kanto (namely Snorlax and the Tauros he started using), put Hoenn over Kanto.

Gary was proof that being a Pokemon Trainer is way harder in the show than it is in the games. Mans had everything going for him till he hit the Indigo Plateau and got his ass humbled. Then Ash retired him in Johto. Paul at least stuck with it.

His Sinnoh team was so good they had to have a dude fielding legendaries to believably beat him. Kalos was just a dumb swerve; there really was no reason Ash and GOATninja should have lost that.
