i bet it's less than 7 million that are active.

thats active accounts

not active people a lot of that shyt is alts and bots.
true. it's still insane that such a tiny population can destroy a person's career, change narratives and more

i think if i was a celebrity and knew that 7 million people are vocal about my actions, i would give zero fukks about twitter

America ~330 million
22% - 73 million
10% of 73 million = 7.3 million people

Cancellations, hoe bable, summer jam screens, fukkery, etc

All of that is done by only 7.3 million humans in america. :skip:
You forget Tweets show up on other platforms such as FB, Tik Tok and the Gram so it's way more than 7.3 million people.

Above the fray.
OP

Before social media. The power to sway public opinion and cause, heighten, or reduce controversy was in FEWER hands.

A generation ago there were 4 major TV networks, handful of cable channels(under the same parent company), one or two major newspapers in big cities.

Editors and managers at those outlets strongly dictated what people knew and when they knew it. Probably less than 700 people at most.
