We hate it...NFL loves it. Out of those 21 teams how many of them are mathematically eliminated already?

This what the NFL wanted when they went to the whole "division games and games meaning something at the end of the season"

Casual fans stayed glued to the tv when their teams still have a chance of making the playoffs.

Its a problem for the viewers but not for them.They could have easily solved this by taking the top 6 teams regardless of the division. They want the opportunity for more bad teams in the playoffs. They want a packed stadium for 2 teams fighting to be 7-9 in week 17 for a division title. They cant care about the product on the field.
