Cap did a cd signing at Nobody Beats The Wiz by Burnside when this album dropped. His peoples were handing out these gift bags with promo pics and a sampler. On that sampler the 1st track had this beat that captivated me...when I lost the tape years later I hit Cap up on Myspace trying to describe the song from the sampler....He didnt know what the fuk I was talking about..lol. I went to that Wu corp website and described it.....no one knew what I was talking about. Finally in 2012 someone uploaded the exact song I was looking for for years. ..I always wondered why he never used this beat on The Pillage. Its that classic Wu sound.

In the Silver Lining
milk the cow been stuck in my head since this album came out

I just randomly listened to 36 Chambers today and peep a line where Meth says "Milk this Cow"....:ohhh:...that's from '93.

I purchased CD. Production was great. Cap had the great energy. Just a live album. Inspectah Deck's album is probaby 2nd worst debut member album. Where was Esa and Truemaster. Of course I heard the flood that hit their New Jersey mansion destroyed a lot of stuff including Deck's first album.

I read the thread title and immediately thought of telling this story only to find out I already did. :heh:

In 96/97 nobody could tell me that this guy wouldn't out a classic. Terrible album. Black Boy, Slang Editorial, Splish Splash and SOTB was the only decent joints on there.

I was a wu head since 36 chambers came out but I felt after this album, Wu started to decline a bit. Dont know what it was maybe over saturation, all the offshoot groups and artists started sounding the same, not to say they still didn't drop hot shyt
But that group and solo run starting with 36 chambers to this album was :whew:

i always felt like Cappa really slept walked through this one, and this explains it.
The production alone makes this an upper tier Wu solo, but this should have been Cuban Linx and Ironman status.
