Worst line up of film noms in a long time

I've only seen four of them (Anora, The Substance, Conclave, and Dune 2) and they're all 8.5/9 outta ten in my book.

Looking forward to watching The Brutalist, I'm Still Here (no idea what it's about) and Nickel Boys. Emilia Perez and Wicked, not so much.

A Complete Unknown just looks like the run-of-the-mill music biopic.

I have a question. Every year my brother does an Oscar contest with the rest of the family. And every year he waits until the last minute to put together a shytty excel spreadsheet with the nominees and scores for everyone to fill out. This year I am thinking about putting together my own spreadsheet except I want it to be a template where there are no "mistakes" and the score is tallied as the night goes on. In past years we for real have had people accidentally pick the wrong people/movies because his sheet is so poorly laid out.
Does anyone have a suggestion where I could get at least a starting template which would aid in this? Thanks.

:russell: worthy nominations this year

No Sing Sing for Best Picture

Civil War got no technical noms

No Trent and Atticus (they already got 2 wins so I'm not that mad over it, but still)

This reminding me of the year when they were dikkriding the Freddie Mercury movie

Knew the past year would be a weird one with the strikes and all, yet I can’t help but feel somewhat underwhelmed here. 2023’s stacked line-up straight up spoiled me.

I actually liked A Complete Unknown. Mangold landing a Best Director nom however is so fukkin’ boring.

Challengers getting no love while Emilia Perez sits with the most nominations. :francis: Dune managed to scrape by with a few noms but we’d most likely be talking different had these flicks dropped in Q3, as opposed to Spring.

If Sebastian Stan wins, Trump will never let us hear the end of it.
They made movie about me. A very bad movie. Very nasty. And very dishonest. I was treated very unfairly and now the actor won the best award. But we are looking into this and something has to be done. The ratings are lowest they've ever been. But we are looking at things and we will see what happens.

I’ll keep riding for Mikey but she’s young and Demi got that comeback narrative going for her. BIG win for horror today.

My old job used a ballot like this.

What do you feel about Emila Perez having the most nominations (13)?

I haven't watched the movie.

Is it 13 nominations type of good?

Very low ratings. I don’t anybody who still watches the Oscars since they became woke. I’m sure it was a giant woke fest, filled with the most woke about to be washed up celebrities. Have you seen the new celebrities they’re filling with these things? Can you even call them movie stars anymore? And that Gavin New SCUM really mishandled the fires. He is the worst governor of California of all time, in fact, he may be the worst governor in the entire country. Worse than Gretchen, that nasty lady. Thank god she’ll be out soon.
