Entire season hinges on several comeback years and staying healthy. They didn't make any moves at all in the offseason that would excite anyone. It's still a great lineup if everything falls into place. Big if...

I was like hold up, there had to have been at least a few since Charles Johnson, but you're right there hasn't been a black everyday starter at catcher since 2004. I guess Bo Naylor from the Indians can count, he's mixed and Canadian

I said the same thing until I found that same article. It's really interesting to think about all the variables in place that have made that the case, between the decrease of brehs playing in general, the potential :mjpls: involved in not wanting a nikka calling the game and controlling the pitching staff, and the weird fact that we kinda aren't really built to play there. Most brehs that play baseball are gonna be OFs, SSs, or 2Bs because of their athleticism, otherwise they're probably big guys who are gonna be at 1st. Same reason there's been maybe 5 Black 3Bs in my entire life

First thing to go for catchers are their knees. Most brehs playing baseball are usually also either playing basketball or football too. To me it makes sense not wanting to ruin your knees if you want to keep the door open for other sports.
