I legit can’t see it. I know they think DBs grow on trees with recent history, but they have a young all-pro with no injury history at a premium position that they drafted first round. I think it would take a major breakdown in negotiations for that one, or like threat said an undeniable return.

Not to mention he can play outside and slot at that level. Basically trading Trent away so you can look for another Trent to replace him. Much different from Snead, who was older, has major injury concerns, didn’t have much draft capital invested, and had Trent to replace him

I’m pretty sure Peters is the only all-pro on the list, and he had clear locker room issues the team wasn’t willing to deal with. Plus he was heavily boom or bust, especially in KC.

And none of them were drafted 1R. Not to mention his big money would likely kick in when CJ is out, and there’s nobody else on defense that warrants a big contract yet.

I almost guarantee Snead gets his money if he were younger and didn’t have injury concerns.

I’m saying we’ve had great not just good corners. Those guys were great! It’s hard to even come by a good DB in the league most are average. But when it’s time to pay we send them on their merry ol way everytime.

You may be right, and we do make that trade when the time comes, but I got faith Veach is gonna make the right move when it comes to that kinda position.

That's what I've been reading. Makes sense to me as well. Kingsley was too slow footed to play tackle. Put any speed rusher against him in space and he was getting burnt. Playing guard won't be as big of a problem. I'm curious if they've completely given up on Morris and how they handle Humphries.
