I hate when people bring up the stock market. The average American isn't invested in the stock market. Nobody gives a damn about the stock market when they can barely afford to pay rent, can't afford a house, paying more to fill the tank up, paying more for groceries, etc.

That's intentional. They want the working class serfs focused on trickle down theory and "well if my boss is doing good I'm doing good too!"
