Something is really wrong with Americans. Your average Japanese lives in a house twice as small, maybe one car per household, works longer hours for less pay, yet you’d never see the reactionary politics when it comes to the economy.

It’s like if you ain’t pushing a BMW and eating Lobster every week you are struggling.

The problem is these numbers arent telling the full story. Stock market doesn't help the people who need it, they don't have recreational money to gamble in that market and most don't understand it.

Unemployment is low, but wages aren't keeping up with the cost of living. Most people live check to check and don't even have $1k saved, the economy certainly doesn't feel "hot" to most people.
