If morality/likeability had anything to do with who wins, Trump would be off somewhere declaring bankrupt for the umpteenth time due to whatever business venture he had going on shyt the bed. He wouldn't be in politics. Democrats aren't going up against Trump, as a person, they're going up against Trump, as an image, which all the folks who voted for him would still otherwise vote for if he didn't exist.

It'd be no different, in principle, to Jesus coming back from the dead, in real life form, shytting on all those who've been following him, they'll still follow him no matter what because it's what he represents to them. A likeable Muhammad isn't going to persuade them to convert to Islam, and it won't persuade anyone who sees Islam as the opposition.

They don't all have the same racial make-up, they come from different countries, and they have their own beefs with each other

here's the problem.

In NY, whether they came in or not, those resources that wound up being exhausted on them were never gonna be used for Black people. or POC's that were already here.

Of course.

We’re both here so we see it for what it is.

But even in absense of those resources this city can’t handle the extra people. And some of the quality of life things that come with it are a whole other story.
