I hear you but this "red herring" if it was strategic, completely blew up in their face. The baseline goal was for Trump to get through the debate without embarrassing himself and that ship sailed 30 minutes in. This crazy dog eating stuff "sticks" more than policy talk. any reasonable person of the 67 million that tuned in two nights ago now see Trump for what he is; an old man rambling incoherently about nonsense with no real platform & frankly, no grip on reality.
