if the president can't bring down gas prices, why was biden desperately releasing the strategic reserve right before the '22 midterms :ehh:

why'd he feel the need to do that, at all? try to answer without deflecting

Just like I said at the time, it was 95% optics and 5% impact. Hardly changed prices at all, but gave him the chance to take credit for the inevitable drop from the temporary peak. And that kills your previous claim that Biden doesn't think gas prices are a political issue. But we already knew you were lying.

Now, are you going to actually answer the question, or keep deflecting? Absolutely bizarre that I keep answering every question you ask with ease, yet you can't answer a single one.

You're deflecting again. If you just want to use spin to create a negative narrative about Biden then just say that.

You're the most obvious sock puppet account on this entire board. It's crazy you've been allowed to return over and over again.

In the "Which poster do you think this secretly white?" thread, someone hypothesized that @the cac mamba is the opposite - a black poster trolling by pretending to be white so he can cosplay as an ignorant, pretentious dikk. :laff:

i don't bother with your questions, because you're mostly lying. i never said the president controls gas prices; the optics are that this administration doesn't give a fukk about them

i've had some bad takes in the past, but i'm 100 percent correct that biden needs to improve on this. like i said, there's no republicans here. this is a safe space to admit biden can do better to improve that 30 percent approval rating

So the newest 2024 talking point is Petroleum/Gas Issues? :mjlol:

It's all nothing because if it's an attempt to get votes for Trump, who is talking like a head full of eggs, good luck with voters turning out.

Quote me lying about this even once, you sniveling coward.

i never said the president controls gas prices

I didn't say that you did. What I said is that you keep wanting him to make giveaways to Big Oil, even though you know it won't help anything, even though it will have negative environmental consequences both local and global, solely for "messaging".

the optics are that this administration doesn't give a fukk about them

I linked to you dozens of incidents proving the opposite, measures he's taken, speeches he's made, articles discussing why the Biden Administration is obsessed with gas prices, and you completely ignored it, then in less than 24 hours you're right back to the same false claim.

This is what you always do. You don't read, so you can continue to make false claims unabated.

you're not making concessions to big oil if you realistically accept we'll never get rid of oil and that its a necessary apart of the economy.

Here's a short history of @the cac mamba clearly not ever blaming the president for gas prices. Clearly, he's only worried about messaging, and he has no personal investment in them actually lowering the price because he knows that's not a real thing. Right?

anyway, i dont need biden to show me how to wear a cloth mask; i want action on gas prices
gas is the biggest problem in america, and the dems couldnt give a fukk less? have zero short term solutions? shyt is embarrassing
im a democrat, who believes

-we need to bring down gas prices, not tell people to buy electric cars
drove past a chevron that was selling for 5 dollars a gallon today. biden's approach to gas prices is unacceptable at this point, and it's starting to piss me off. don't tell me that gas prices are no big deal while your fukkin scumbag son is out here selling paintings for 100 thousand dollars
im getting to the point where i can barely even defend biden anymore. gas prices STILL being this high, and rising, is unacceptable.
i don't give a fukk about "fighting climate change", whatever that means, as long as gas is over 4 dollars a gallon :camby:
i've expressed that humans affect climate change. but i don't give a fukk when gas is over 4 dollars a gallon
my position is that humans affect climate change, but i don't give a fukk about "fighting it" when gas is over 4 dollars a gallon.
no one wants to hear this shyt. we want to hear what you're doing about gas THIS MONTH :snoop:
dems can save the world, or they can effectively market to the american people. but they cant do both
what does "listening" to you get us? lower gas prices?
democrats are winning me back, i hope they keep it that way. all i really want from democrats is

-leave me the fukk alone
-put that infrastructure money to work
-address gas prices
im disgusted with the disgruntled socialists. no one elected them to change america in 2020. maybe in 30 years, but not now. people want gas prices down, not some bullshyt about electric cars 15 years from now
its time for biden to start going all in on american energy
this bullshyt about "transitioning to electric" is unacceptably bad politics right now, and im fukkin tired of it. gas prices are a crisis, at the root of inflation; act like its a fukking crisis
unfortunately, this is pretty much the state of the Democratic party. more concerned with militant fakkitry than rising gas prices
I agree with this. Republicans controlling the country in the age of climate change is dire not only for America but the entire world.
you know what else is dire? when gas is 5 dollars a gallon

i'll let you guess which one americans care about more :yeshrug:
how can you guys respect the BAD POLITICS of this administration's elitist indifference to high gas prices?
Meanwhile people can’t afford rent, or homes, or healthcare. Corporations are price gouging the American consumer on gas and food, but yeah THIS RIGHT HERE IS THE REAL ISSUE!!!
so maybe if the democrats were out here solving these issues, no one would be talking about how liberals think men can get pregnant :ehh:
serious question; why doesnt biden just take the republicans up on their gas price "solutions"? it either

A. works, and gas prices come down. or
B. doesn't work, and he can blunt their attacks

if the republicans take the house, and trump runs, thats probably the end of our democracy. this isnt the time to push some fakkity green agenda that isnt even effective :snoop:

Imagine trying to claim that you know Democrats can't change the price of gas, and that it's only messaging you care about, yet constantly insisting, "fukk the environment, fukk the future, I need those low gas prices now!"

This statement doesn't address anything practical. What does this have to do with drilling in sensitive habitats?

No one said that we can "get rid" of oil. But we need to seriously reduce our dependence on it for multiple reasons, in addition to not letting Big Oil fukk over anything they want in the process. I get the feeling that you don't really engage with or have any understanding of environmental issues at all.

Engaging with environmental issues is not: "conceding everything activists want because theres glaciers and trees there". C'mon now. This is the same NIMBY shyt that ends up working against the housing crisis when people start bringing up gentrification and hippies think they're preserving the neighborhood on behalf of conservatives by attacking "big bad developers". We've been here before. Germany is tricking themselves out the bag right now on COAL and NUCLEAR and Natural Gas.

The USA is in a pole position to actually lead on energy generation, export, and processing. EV's aren't an endgame at the moment and other developing countries still need those resources.

So no, I dont want to kill polar bears but theres a distinct medium there thats not being acknowledged.

You sound like a fukking right-winger. Thank you for confirming that you haven't done the slightest research on the actual environmental questions involved.

This the nonsensical "centrism must be best just because its centrism" nonsense. What do you know that informs you that the current administration position is too extreme and they should compromise more with industry?

My own research, based on actually reading the reports on impact of continued carbon production and various means and results of stopping at various points, suggests to me that the current administration is far, far too oil-friendly and continuing on this path is likely to have catastrophic medium-term consequences. That's the position of literally every comprehensive mainstream report on the issue. What do you know that they don't?

The energy density of batteries isn't near that of fossil fuels. Yet.

Is math making me a right winger?

Seems like Joe Biden is making it harder for his political opposition to successfully unseat him. Good for Joe Biden.

We're talking about YOU, dumbass. Stop deflecting to "the majority of voters" when you made clear that YOU are the one who cares about this. What do YOU think Biden can do to reduce gas prices?
