That article is pretty useless.
It says that 538 predicted a 57% chance that the Republicans would win both chambers, and a 43% chance the Democrats would win at least one, then acts like that was a huge polling miss. That's not a polling miss, they were saying the odds were virtually 50-50 and that's about right (Democrats only made it to 51 Senate seats cause Masto barely survived with 48.8% of the vote, Warnock held on, and Fetterman flipped his seat). That's the whole reason for using percentages instead of guarentees, they said it was going to be close and it was.
It's true that overall, polls predicted the Republicans to do better in 2022. But polls underestimated Republican support in 2020, and that was a presidential election like this one. So how do we know that the polls are off the direction they were in 2022, and not the direction they were in 2020?
glad to hear it. i'm sure we won't be revisiting this topic a year from now, when putin and the saudis are bending biden over in front of the entire world, because they want trump to win the electionI was at Quantico, VA on Thursday and filled up for $3.49

if you're satisfied with this administration's messaging on gas prices, you're unserious about winningHow would you keep Putin and the Saudis from doing that, since you don't know how to lower gas prices but still want America to maintain its dependence on oil?
You have the critical thought capacity of a rock.
if you're satisfied with this administration's messaging on gas prices, you're unserious about winning
this is not good enough.
i don't want biden to be blamed for high gas prices, because it's not good in a general election. you doSo you can't answer my simple, direct question?
Over and over, you've proven that you have no idea how to lower gas prices, but you just want Biden to give away even more to Big Oil than he already has, even if it won't help, so the "messaging" would look good. It's an idiotic way to run a country. Gas prices would STILL be high, and people would STILL complain, the environment in those drilling areas would be fukked, and the only ones who would win would be the oil companies.
What would your plan be to keep Putin/Saudis from manipulating the price of oil? My plan would be to reduce our dependence on oil. But you're against that, so what's your counterproposal?
i don't want biden to be blamed for high gas prices, because it's not good in a general election. you do
let's agree to disagree
if the president can't bring down gas prices, why was biden desperately releasing the strategic reserve right before the '22 midtermsYou still haven't answered the question and, per usual, you continue to deflect.
You're deflecting again. If you just want to use spin to create a negative narrative about Biden then just say that.if the president can't bring down gas prices, why was biden desperately releasing the strategic reserve right before the '22 midterms
why'd he feel the need to do that, at all? try to answer without deflecting

You're the most obvious sock puppet account on this entire board. It's crazy you've been allowed to return over and over again.
Because the answer is so easy and obvious it doesn’t even need to be statedYou still haven't answered the question and, per usual, you continue to deflect.

we both know why you aren't answering the question
