I don't think he will say anything publicly. While as a former president, he still has a large platform but running the party is a bit too much. If he did, people would have come to him before popping off in the media so I think he's going to sit in the sidelines and play surrogate for Biden at the DNC.

Biden hasn’t led the average of national polls all year.
His approval rating on average is 37%.

It will always be an indictment on humans that progress takes incremental time and the time it takes to strip away the progress especially for vulnerable groups is not much. And the standard of the person doinc the stripping away of rights is low
