Was watching ABC's livestream of the RNC, and their reviews were damn-near glowing. I think the shooting humanized Trump from a media perspective as they were also exclaiming how he hasn't said anything bad about Biden post-shooting or the fact that the top Republicans are mostly avoiding brazen fear-mongering post-shooting as a sign that they're clearing the low bar that society gives them.

I doubt the DNC will get this type of coverage, not that I think it's purposefully biased, but just that the redemption narrative tells itself and Americans love neatly packaged stories. Dems are in trouble if Republicans stop throwing mud.
