If there was a primary, I still have a hard time believing Newsom, Beasher, Waltz or Whitmer would have defeated Harris in the primary. Its virtually impossible for a sitting VP to lose a primary. Black women especially in the South wasn't going for it. She just wasn't a good person to be the nominee period. A primary would not have helped her as Pelosi suggested. She would have still lost to Trump.

The only good thing that comes out of Trump burning down the country is that it guarantees that a Democrat wins the Presidency in 2028. As long as Harris doesn't run and the party doesn't nominee her. The country will once again be exhausted from Trump and Republicans. Whoever the Republican nominee is, JD Vance or Ron DeSantis will not be able to generate the voter turnout that Trump is able to generate. Those voters are loyal to Trump, not the party.
