I don't think it's a conspiracy. The electorate is larger in 2024 than it was in 2020. That partially explains why Trump gained some votes, obviously there are other factors.

Why was it in battleground states? Because... when people are beat over the head repeatedly that their vote is the one that matters, they might show up.

You know how many people there are on the coasts who just assume the Dems will win their state every time? Vice versa in the redneck states..

I get what you’re saying but the math ain’t mathing. Trump had no ground game so the rural cacs in swing states over performed due to sheer enthusiasm while at the same time rural cacs in red states weren’t as motivated to vote for him compared to 2020.
