Do you want me to seriously answer that? It’s because the stans of the Democratic Party above any coherent ideology or thinking. Anything that criticizes Democrats is bad and anything that bigs them up is good. They’re perpetually stuck arguing around 2016. They’re actually the ones in their bubbles but think everyone else is - they talk about anyone progressive the ways Republicans to talk about liberals and don’t see the similarities. They’re blinded by their party allegiance.
It’s literally made them anti their own generation and unwittingly anti-black academic and intellectual. Black thought leaders and scholars have always been the most left-leaning demographic and black people of every age demographic are more left than any other group in their age bracket but they’ve convinced themselves that we are somehow speaking from liberal ass cities or what have you when their opinion is actual the generic mainstream liberal opinion. You have to step outside of that bubble to express views like ours. We walk around the corporate world and navigate America every day knowing we are more progressive than the median American. We know way more about how they think than they know about any idea coming from the left because they’ve never had that level of intellectual curiosity. Joe Biden has been the most progressive president in decades pushing policies that were introduced by the left and that HRC and moderate Dems said would never happen in 2016.
Literally every good thing in their lives from Democrats first originated in left circles and slowly and begrudgingly became mainstream liberal thought but somehow we’re the problem. These dudes live in states where paid leave laws aren’t even in existence or are in their infancy - they’re literally 10 to 15 years behind ideas that are already a matter of law in places like Seattle, LA and NYC. The entire Democratic platform of “liberals” is giving nikkas in red states or swing states the things we all already have but dudes calling us impractical like the shyt we’re advocating for right now won’t be the baseline Democrat platform in a decade like always
