It is what it is. I'm not gonna stress it too much. We already got through one trump term. And I don't think he's gonna get as extreme as people think or they'll end up giving the house and Senate right back in 2026. At this point gotta just hope he delivers on some promises to help save us some money. If he does that he'll already be a better president than Biden in most people's eyes.

This is all bidens fault. He spent most of his presidency giving billions to other countries while Americans could barely pay their rent. And they didn't forget. He also pussied his way out of the student loan forgiveness. He ran on that promise knowing damn well what would happen beforehand. Then to top it off he refused to back out until the last minute and gave Kamala a very slim margin to succeed. Just an absolute imbecile from beginning to end.

The democrats are just out of touch. It's their own fault for the position they're in. Trump knows how to play the game better. But fukk it. I'm going back to not giving a fukk about politics. It's not worth the stress:hubie:
Agree with this. I’m trying not to stress but I’m worried my girlfriend won’t be able to avoid her insulin and my mom her Medicare covered cancer treatments.

I’ve got bread to pay for super expensive insulin but I don’t have bread to pay 50k per month in cancer treatments.

And I’m worried about a lot of my lgbt friends and friends that are more likely to be targeted or deported

Rough day

listen and then investigate the issue and formulate policy based on it just like they do for every other thing they have been doing. nobody addressed the economy from the perspective of the poor, only the middleclass which is a shrinking demographic. i think you will get diminishing returns only having middle class rhetoric during election seasons.
Policy didn't win this election. Policies that address poor people don't work with poor white people because they don't want to see black people or immigrants getting anything. That's why red states rejected Obamacare Medicare expansion even though it would've benefitted them.

With the current vote splits, Trump could reach around 77 M votes and Kamala could be at 73M if I'm not mistaken.

That would be less than 2020 but feels like that election was an exception, turnout wise.

We're just passing blame around at this point.

We can argue all day about who did this and what the Dems could've done better, but the fact is this motherfukker is president again and he has a huge chip on his shoulder. He is backed by an organization that wants to destroy the government. Even if he doesn't make it a year into his term, whether it be death or the 25th, the point is that we have a bunch of Christofascist tech bro oligarchs working together to send this country to hell and the electorate has given them permission to do so for reasons.
We know who the blame goes to, now it's about trying to fix that, we need to support the current and incoming good politicians and vote more in for mid-terms 2026.

Voter turnout, voter turnout, voter turnout.

Has to be a priority for Democrats and not just in battleground states.
We have ceded so immigration and a host of issues. Those arguments will now be had on their turf.
This countrybis beyond cooked.

Personally I definitely underestimated Trump's ability to capture young voters. State College, where Penn State is went red when Biden ran up the score there previously. Throw in white women and the latino shifts you equal a loss

Gen Z males are more exposed to Andrew Tate and Red Pill type of talk content that makes them lean more conservative and follow more conservative type of beliefs. The Andrew Tates of the world are the people they look up to. Another reason why they are more conservative than Milennial males were at the same age.

Both Gen Z young men and young women did not like seeing all the migrants in their school that made them no longer feel like a priority and that their towns were being taken over.

that may be the case for "entitlements", but that is not necessarily the case for a jobs program of some sort. the works progress administration didnt face racial backlash and resulted in tons of permanent infrastructure
