She didn't spend much time in the Midwest at all.
It's not the only reason she lost, so I suppose that from that perspective, it's simplified, but IMO, it's grounded in truth.

because what would that have meant, really? a bunch of people in the midwest who were voting for hillary anyway, showing up at her rallies
