Can someone dialed in answer a few questions for me?

Is there a historical trend for newspapers to endorse a candidate once the coast is clear? Are these endorsements near the end a sign of things to come? They do have sources, they should know.

Trump can't win without PA; this one state is critical to him having a path at all. Regardless of the numbers there, it was always going to get this much attention.
Hillary completely ignored the Midwest :camby:

Why is so much money being spent in arguably the most important swing state :mindblown:

Neither can she really. I don't see her winning the Black belt states this time because I think the Black turnout will be low. The only way she wins is if white women come out for her. I think they will in Pennsylvania but not Georgia or North Carolina.

Pretty much. Don't think it tells us about how close it's running, just how important it is in the EC.

I think we will disagree on black turnout, but if you think it will be low, then yes, she's also quite dependent on PA.

I wouldn't normally be bullish on NC because it was a state that activated more white rurals during 2016 and 2020, but people ticket-split less than ever. If Stein carries the governorship by more than ten, I think she's probably the winner.

It's telling that Trump is playing defense there today instead of offense in MI or WI.

the republicans are gonna be looking at a LOT of bad will with women, if they go along with trump's bullshyt

the Dems are gonna get out there talking about "america has made history, electing the first woman president. and republicans don't want to accept it :scust:"

even republican women (the non-MAGA lunatics) are gonna feel some kinda way about kamala winning. their daughters getting to witness it, etc

Let's hope Kamala wins, Dems keep the Senate, and Clarence Thomas's chain smoking habit finally catches up to him in the next two years. That will help a lot.

I hate having to hope a black man dies of heart disease, but here we are.
uncle thomas has transcended race, the conservatives don't see him as black and i don't either.

i think there might be a plan in place, where Republicans put on a show for their base that they're "fighting the results", but they really want to move on, and they know the fight fails

look at someone like ted cruz, who's dying to run in 2028. if trump loses, it's free and clear, and Cruz gets to spend 4 years "fighting kamala", owning the libs, etc: if trump wins, it's probably Vance in '28. for a lot of these guys, trump is a hindrance

so maybe they'll send out the retards like MTG to put on the WWF show, while assembling enough purple state/end of career republicans to smoothly certify trump losing. at least thats what i hope
