It annoys me how Dems let Trump run with the narrative that he’s anti war [which is bullsh1t] and they’re the warhawks and don’t push back

I agree with them going further to the right on things like immigration to try to win the election but I feel like they’ve toned down the anti war rhetoric because they feel like pretending to be closer to the center on war is good for votes when the opposite is true right now in this country

They aren’t really even pro war they just don’t fight back on the issue enough. They don’t do a good enough job explaining why they are protecting Ukraine and how it has nothing to do with being pro war

I’ve heard too many independent and moderate voters say how they might vote for Trump because unlike the Dems Trump is anti war and it’s very annoying

I honestly think it’s far more important to attack him on his lies regarding bringing steel, coal, etc back to places like Pennsylvania. He had 4 years to do it and he didn’t, and they still believe him.

Doesnt help when Kamala is saying shyt like Iran is the US's greatest geopolitical rival when thr facts show Russia is clearly a bigger problem globally.

On a semi-related note, US should be taking advantage of the fact that Iran elected a (relative) moderate in Pezeshkan and trying to cool down tensions, especially rhetorically.

That was the ultimate misstep by maga, going after women and their rights. None of these polls take into account the motivation of women to vote against that. I know women who have fertility issues and a higher chance of ectopic pregnancies are literally considering leaving the state they live in because if they decide to get pregnant and have an ectopic birth they can die like that woman in Texas.
Roe v Wade intact and Trump declining the debate with Biden like he had been doing in every other primary could've ensured victory for him lol.

The ground game is so important, but the polls just ignore it.

It really is, especially the logistics of where you're targeting. Ive had days of doing more or near 200 houses in about 5 hours just from ease of navigating my daily route. The main issue with Trumo handing GOTV to Elon is you need locals leading the charge for on-the-ground ops. Hs got finessed by his $25 an hour canvassers, he for sure doesn't have the proper people in charge to chart routes/identify who is best suited for what areas

I agree with that. It’s just a general point that that they’ve let Trump run as the anti war candidate without push back which is annoying

That's Biden's fault.

Hard for his VP to run as the anti-war candidate when he keeps giving a country weapons while they commit blatant war crimes :francis: not to mention his complete failure to get a ceasefire or prevent the Middle East situation from getting any worse

I agree, but I also think social issues and economics far outpace this issue. It's a mistake they are likely going to get away with.

I also think indies and Republicans who pretend that they care about this issue as a way to vote are 🧢. Trump says he wants to let Bibi do whatever in Gaza and the West Bank. He unspooled the Iran nuclear deal and pushed us closer to war. Meanwhile, Biden's numbers never recovered from doing what everyone said they wanted and winding down the war in Afghanistan.

Those people who said that to you said it because it sounds nicer than voting for open racism.
