Pretty consistent example of republicans/donors/etc believing Trump will let them do whatever they want. Does anyone think Donald Trump will be cool with markets collapsing daily as the federal government purges jobs and rounds up immigrants? Elon would be fired within a month lol. My guess is if he wins he'd implement his tariffs, they would crash the economy, congress would intervene and he'd be hamstrung from there.

it could all end up accurate, but political betting is always going to be less accurate than sports betting. the outcome depends on factors that are way harder to model and predict than the performance of athletes, and it's also a single event that happens once every four years, where with sports you have games every night to set lines with. in a toss-up like this it's particularly hard. everyone's just going with their guts.
