What we do on the border is violent.
It has continued no matter who is the president.
Whether it was Obama or Trump or Biden or Bush etc.
Just about every president that I've been alive to see has been terrible on the border and immigration.
And several of these Presidents helped to fan obvious hostilities towards (Brown) immigrants.

Of course we live in an interconnected global economy. Which is why allowing Israel to run amok and antagonize the most energy important region in the world is leading to concerns about oil prices spiking. Israel is actively contemplating destroying Iranian oil fields with American acquiescence and Iran is responding by threatening to M.A.D the other oil fields in the region and close off the Strait of Hormuz.
Similar to how the Houthis constricted Red Sea shipping routes that are critical to the global shipping economy. These are real life consequences and escalations that are happening right now because we refuse to abide by international and domestic law and join the international community in their assessment of this situation.
Now I need you to explain what economic benefit we get from giving Israel impunity to commit war crimes and aggress their neighbors. I don't think receiving Israeli surveillance technology is worth the geopolitical and economic ramifications of being considered the great Satan by the Middle East. What is the great economic harm that will befall us if we stop giving Israel a political and military blank check?

And instead of challenging your personal beliefs and looking at the evidence (Kamala's track record
as DA, Joe Biden's entire political career, hostilities in the middle east, our own nation's history in
the middle east and various other points/times in the past and present etc.)
You block it out, put your head in the sand and pretend it "doesn't exist".
The good thing is, within your lifetime you will see things you never thought possible and your
hatred and distaste for "Progressives" (No idea why it's in quotes but whatever...) will hopefully

But essentially immigration, immigrants and the hostility towards them is largely bipartisan
and is enforced through agencies like ICE or Border Patrol and the violence is given cover
by saying "We're just protecting you from criminals".

But where @King Kreole and I disagree on is.... Israel does have a right to defend themselves on these fronts. Both things can be true. Israel has committed atrocities in Gaza but Hamas, Hezbollah and the Iranian government are not "the good guys..." either... the way you portray them. These are conflicts that have been going on since well before any of us were born.

It is the aggressor and always has been.
It does not have a right to exist and it does not have a right to murder indiscriminately.

Who claimed that Kamala's platform is only slightly left of Trump's? We're comparing her platform and campaign to those of previous Democratic Presidents and campaigns. The claim is that she's been pivoting to the right and running the most right-wing Democratic campaign in many cycles, and we're debating what the implications of this are. But we can't even agree on basic principles because y'all have Trump Derangement Syndrome and respond to any critical assessment of Kamala's campaign by pointing to Trump and saying he's worse, which has absolutely no bearing on the argument at hand. Like, we haven't even been mentioning Trump when critiquing Kamala because we all believe she is better than him and voting for him is off the table. If you keep allowing Trump to set the standard for what is acceptable and unacceptable, then he's already won even if he loses because we're continually being pulled down to his level and we're living in a world defined by his bullshyt. We have to have beliefs and ideas and standards that exist outside of Trump.
