It’s also not true or distorted by polling of police unions and nonsense like that

It’s one of the most bullshyt things that I’ve seen on cable news and that is saying a lot.

In the 2020 presidential election, non-white, non-college-educated men leaned heavily toward Joe Biden, but Donald Trump made notable inroads with this demographic compared to 2016. Here’s an approximate breakdown:

• Joe Biden (Democrat) received around 70-75% of the vote from non-white, non-college-educated men.

• Donald Trump (Republican) received about 24-29% of the vote.

So what MSNBC is reporting is that this group has made a complete 180 degree in their preference. It’s so damn irresponsible to report on these polls and without putting them in the proper context.

Edit: It’s 17 points better, not 17 point plus advantage.

That is still a huge swing in one election cycle.

1) Electoral College structure
2) :mjpls:
3) MAGA is cocaine to Republicans. They've become addicts to that agenda and if putting up with Trump gets them there, then they're hitching the wagon to him.

if trump loses, politics will go back to being boring again. we might see a slight return of objectivity :dead:

Nah lol. Sure we won't have a scandal or major NYT/WaPo article every weekend like under Trump but it's going to be nonstop political warfare. Thankfully the economy will be good but they're going to rip Harris apart, there will be gridlock and the media will do everything in their power to amplify republican fukkery while blaming dems for not working with arsonists. Add in continued Israeli fukkery plus other shyt. I think it's very clear Elon's security clearance is gonna get shytcanned and the government will kill SpaceX subsidies if Harris wins. That will be a major story. It's also likely there will be a Supreme Court opening and republicans will block any replacement if they take the senate (especially if it's a conservative judge).

2026 could be a chance for Dems to regain the majority in the senate. Realistically they could flip Maine and kick Susan Collins' concerned ass out the door. They have strong candidates for NC and KY in term limited Governors (Cooper and Beshear respectively) that have won state-wide races before.

Nah the overton window has completely been destroyed well before trump, since at least Obama was elected.

Nobody is as divisive and as cult of personality as Trump though.

At the very least you’re gonna see a lot of people who didn’t care about politics before Trump go back into hiding which is the best thing for this country and will make things slightly less crazy during elections

Straight from Flatbush
Port strike could negatively impact Harris. Hopefully this is very short
shyt ain’t got nothing to do with her or the election… longshoremen haven’t been on a strike since the late 70s or some shyt like that… this strike was strategic doing it in an election year near the holidays.. it gives them maximum exposure and a quicker deal to be settled

That's true BUT if it lingers more than a few days, it will have an effect on the economy and that is a top voting topic she is still trying to gain ground on. She don't need any hiccups that will cause her to be on defense before the election.
