AT&T is the reason why the company has so much debt. They bought a strong company and ruined it because they had no idea how to handle a big huge entertainment conglomerate.

Discovery has been slashing debt but it's been a mixed bag at best. I could go on and on about it but this isn't the thread for it.

HBO, Warner Bros. Pictures, DC Comics, Harry Potter, etc... are all valuable studios and IP if they are in the right hands. WB/DC is still the second most profitable movie franchise in Hollywood despite all of the issues with studio executives and mergers.
