I'd expect the media to start running interference for Trump soon, presumably after Labor Day. The pressure and focus over Biden's performance and lack of coherence will not be replicated - Trump can ramble, get confused, and bomb questions all he wants and will not face mass criticism. But any Kamala mistake will be highlighted. Peep the media tone in her upcoming press conference, and the reactions afterwards. It's coming, I hope people understand that.

Trump's problem is that he wasn't prepared for a high turnout, active race. He thought he could slow walk a win over Biden while not spending money. Now he's in a shoot out and has no ground game, no GOTV, nothing. And he will only get more unhinged.

The hiring border agents and going after drug trafficking isn't a new thing.

But touting that crazy border bill the GOP wanted and Trump told them not to vote for is wild. It's basically Stephen Miller's plan.

Huge departure from 2020.

I get it, she needs to win the election but the rightward shift on immigration is unfortunate.
