You're right.

But right now the southern offensive has nothing to do with those attacks. The focus should be on getting the hostages back, something I haven't heard from Netanyahu in weeks now. The far left is wrong here, but Israel has mismanaged this the same way the US did in Afghanistan.
The far left would have complained about anything, let's be clear. Still, Biden's mistake was not demanding a full-scale return of the hostages at the outset so Netanyahu would know settling political scores wouldn't be tolerated. That's what's happening now and why those protesters in Michigan are making that noise.
