I think Waddle is damn good but this makes Devonta's deal look like a bargain. Especially considering what Nico got.

Agreed. I like Waddle, and it's not a knock on him as a player, but $25+mil/year is a LOT for a player that's always dinged up like him. Could end up working out, but it's risky.

McCarthy said Lance is “definitely” an improved quarterback compared to where he was when he arrived in Dallas last year, and that his work in learning the Cowboys’ offense has been outstanding.

“Young quarterback comes into a new system, so you got the learning curve, but now starting to get the timing with the routes,” McCarthy said. “He’s close to being a master of the system. He has a really high understanding. He’s communicating very well. He looks more and more comfortable. He just needs reps. I know I say that every time I talk about him. If I'm Dallas? I don't pay Dak.

Retaining Micah and CeeDee is WAY more important and a Dak re-up is as much as top of the line contracts for BOAF Micah and CeeDee.

Either see if Lance can do it or draft a QB. They won't magically find a QB better than Dak but for the long-term... financially, this makes the most sense.
