Wagner's had a great career and his durability and longevity are what stand out. Elite football IQ, great tackler, always seems to be in the right place at the right time. Can match wits with any QB...
He's going to Canton and deservedly so, because he's been really good, for a really long time, and was the defensive QB of the greatest defense in NFL history. But in terms of straight up impact and dominance?
There were more impactful, dominant players on that LOB defense (Kam, Sherman, Thomas, Bennett). He was certainly more than "just a guy", but on the greatest defense of all time, he wasn't "the" guy. As LOB aged out he transitioned into The Guy but at their apex, there were more dominant players than he was...
So as this plays into All-Time consideration, I wouldn't put him over Lewis or Urlacher, for guys I've seen. I feel like he was better than Warner though, which is a guy who people currently say is the best linebacker in the NFL. I don't think Wagner's peak quite reached what Kuechly was...
Going beyond just what I've seen though, I'd have to guess that Butkus, Singletary, Lambert, guys like that were better. I know LT was. I'd feel comfortable saying Wagner has a credible Top 10 case but it would be right at the edge of Top 10, if anything ..

lol he doesnt have the best team. ravens defense was the worst in the league for half the season despite hving the best offense at first. so if they lose and he plays well its okay.

Cam Heyward has produced for almost 15 years but playing in the era of Aaron Donald and Chris Jones has overshadowed what is a Hall of Fame career. Even more amazing to me cause he didn't start getting All Pro selections until he was 7 years in the league.
