I think their fans on Twitter have a lot to do with it

Eh, let's be real.

Boston/New England fans can be among the worst.:pachaha:. A great run in the early and mid 2000's, and then people thought the Patriots were dead, only for them to win three more, two of them in spectacular fashion.:banderas:.

It's similar to the same stuff people would say about the Patriots, with them getting "all the calls" and stuff. However, I do think this particular season for the Chiefs is different than any season we have seen form them or the Patriots during their run, and people are heightened to look for everything to magnify and complain about. I do think this particular season, they have definitely gotten many breaks and good fortune that no other team may get over the course of a few years. However, every team will get breaks here and there, but you have to capitalize on it.

I could be wrong, but I'm still picking the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl like I have since before the season. Just wait for the terrible Josh Allen turnover or special teams disaster.

Yea but Twitter discourse during the Patriots run wasn’t what it is now. People hated Brady just as much as Mahomes. They were known as cheaters compared to KC “being in bed with the refs”. And people generally start to hate a team/athlete that wins a lot. So I think social media is the difference
