This is what I was trying to explain to you in the Knicks thread where you stated "in what way is today's game more competitive than the game 10 years ago". If you read the OP you'd see the game is more wide open, there are more contenders and it is tougher to call, and the top teams in the league are winning games by a smaller margin.
I just been looking on my lunch break and you'd have to go back to select seasons in the mid-70's to find margins of victory comparable to what we've seen in half a season this year. A lot of y'all just be talking and saying things off the muscle and nostalgia rather than going off the facts. A team like Chicago, 10 years ago ran through the league winning by 7-8 points a night.
Despite the season that is being had the narrative by a bunch of posters on here is that the league isn't competitive and there are too many blow outs when in actuality its been one of the seasons with closest games and most competition in league history.
