Teams giving up a first round pick for a half season rental used to be the norm years ago. I’m guessing teams are trying to bring it back into play again 
A first round for Gordon Hayward in 2024 is crazy. If the 11 seed Nets turned down 5 first round picks for Bridges, 2 first round picks for DFS and 1 first rounder for Royce O’Neal. Nobody getting moved, these mediocre teams would rather fight for a spot in the play-in tournament.

With the sheer amount of talent that's been coming into the NBA as of late first round picks are prob more valuable right now then they've ever been at any point in NBA history.Teams giving up a first round pick for a half season rental used to be the norm years ago. I mean Christ the current best or second best player (depending on who you like between Embid and Jokic) in the NBA right now was a second rounder.

The Wiz are dumb any offer you get for Kuzma if you can get a 1st rounder is plenty good. You have nothing to gain from holding onto him
