Rumors for the Day:

  • On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said “several” AEW contracts will be up at the end of the year and WWE will looking to sign all of the “key ones”. He also talked about WWE’s big plans for Jade Cargill, which have been deemed important since, “she’s not going to be the last person” to change companies.
  • Ricky Starks would likely be a “key one”. It’s not clear when Starks AEW deal is up, but BWE told a follower they think there’s a 75% chance Ricky will join his friend & mentor Cody Rhodes in WWE whenever he can.

Never heard of this person but she fits the topic of the thread so posted.

An NXT name is headed to Major League Wrestling.

Sources have confirmed to Fighftful Select that former NXT talent Sloane Jacobs is heading to MLW to compete in their women's featherweight division.

Jacobs was released by WWE last November, and has since appeared on ROH TV. Before heading to WWE, she'd also made AEW appearances. Beyond that, she was featured in the well received Monster Factory show on Apple TV+, where she was seen under her indie name of The Notorious Mimi.

I think Punk will be ok in the E until after Mania….Punk/Rollins and Roman/Cody 2 are both good main events…

I think in the E he’ll be reigned in for 2 reasons…one because he knows his bullshyt isn’t gonna fly and two because unless he’s going to NJPW this is the last time to be in a big time spotlight…

[Meltzer] WWE is looking into signing away AEW's "younger key talents."

According to Dave Meltzer, WWE is looking into signing away AEW's "younger key talents." A WWE source told him that they believe that situation will be similar to what happened with WCW and TNA where those companies signed away WWE's older talent while WWE signed younger talent.

Meltzer also wrote the following from his AEW sources about the topic:

>*“The claim is that a pipeline has developed and some of the younger AEW* *stars* *are already talking about leaving when their deals are up. Even in AEW there are people saying the same thing, that it’s known that people are looking to leave and the hope is that the number is few because the perception of AEW as the AAA* *league* *in wrestling (a baseball reference for the top feeder* *league, not a wrestling reference) would not be good for AEW.”*
