I'd tell him his agent is welcome to seek out a trade partner :unimpressed:

Not devoting that cap space to a WR. Only way it works is if they give him a deal they can get out of in 2-3 years
.
He need to get paid this off-season too cause while I dont think trey Lance gon be trash he still gon have some 1st year starter struggles and he aint trying to have his value drop cause of it.
Wonder how much the 9ers wanna guarantee him up front

He's signed for '22 and they can still franchise him the two years after that.

Deebo only had one good year so he can't be demanding an excessive amount.

They could buy it wouldn't be smart to wait.
Aj brown, dk, Justin Jefferson all bout to push the market even further. Cause they all gon want more than reek.
So try to deal now where the floor is 30 or keep pushing it down the road where the floor is 36-37

Franchise tag is the kiss of death…

might as well trade him now if that’s the plan

plus you wait too long and then you got the Justin Jefferson reset and then the Chase reset

you gonna end up paying more

so i guess we gonna see reports of Deebo holding out during training camp
and will probably win out.

because Kyle and his offense need Deebo way too much to not have him out there

damn Chiefs. yall couldnt give the man the Justin reid deal?
breh sound really sad leaving KC

“Bro, I was depressed,” Mathieu says. “Heartbroken. Heart. Broken. “I could not understand it. I could not, man.” The separation came at the Chiefs’ request. Mathieu did not want to leave Kansas City after three seasons, the first of which included the Super Bowl trophy he was signed to help the Chiefs hoist when they made him the league’s highest-paid safety. The Chiefs elected to move on this time, though, not offering 29-year-old Mathieu a new contract and instead giving Reid a three-year, $31.5 million deal that includes $20 million guaranteed. “To be honest,” Mathieu says, “if they would’ve offered me Justin Reid’s deal, obviously I would’ve tried to negotiate, but if that’s where they drew their line in the sand, I probably would’ve took it. I probably would’ve took it.

He played the entire season knowing this is how it would end, but not knowing why. His representatives had only limited conversations with the Chiefs last summer, and that’s when it hit him — maybe they just don’t want him back. “It was the hardest year of my career,” Mathieu says. “I’ve been through ACLs (surgeries). I’ve been through a lot of stuff in this league — having to move my family every two or three years. But that was one of the hardest, longest years of my life.”

Reid is 4 years younger so I get their thinking but if a guy wants to stay and will take a team friendly deal at least sit down and negotiate. They need as many play makers on defense as possible. I don't know why he's not signed yet. Maybe him putting this out there is a way to tell them he's willing to come back for cheap. Frank Clark is campaigning to bring him back.

Lol I don’t believe that. He was demanding more than what Justin received. Which is probably why he hasn’t been picked up by anyone else.

He wanted the extension last year. The entire chiefs fan base was messaging the organization, the coaches, our GM, and owner about extending him last offseason. But they couldn’t decide a number. He literally admitted to playing half ass this season and still wanted to get paid top dollar like the best safety in the league. Truth is No one is going to pay him that at his age.
