They just wanted to be cheap so they can allocate resources to other positions

That’s a given at this point. Steelers have always been frugal in free agency. No matter how much I wanted it we were never going to be in the running for the top 3 or 4 free agent qb’s purely because of cash. They would rather draft one.
It seems we are going heavy on o line and defense. And hoping a middle of the road qb can do enough to not hurt us.

Saints better prepare to get Winston signed and focus on offensive line , receiver and linebackers
